Second Act Troupe in Two Plays - Season Finale
The Second Act Troupe returns to Wimberley with the fifth and final production of their highly successful 2009-2010 inaugural season. Performances will be Friday May 29 and Friday June 5 at 8 pm at the Wimberley United Methodist Church at RR12 and Co Rd 1492.
In "A Little Something for the Ducks," company stalwarts Ellen Massey and Dan LaFleur play an elderly couple who argue the merits of a park ordinance that prohibits feeding ducks but still manage to put their moves on each other in a charming and zestful courtship that is a complete delight.
In "After the Ball," Stewart (Allan Eastwood) and Joanna (Kate Conroy) return home from a surprisingly entertaining and festive funeral, an experience that leaves Stewart at first exhilarated but is then forced by Joanna to face some not-so-festive truths about himself.
Production costs for these Wimberley performances are underwritten by a generous donation from the Wimberley Community Civic Club.
Reservations for assigned seating can be made by calling (512) 618-3355. The $12 tickets can also be purchased at the door.
The company will return in September with another season featuring little known yet entertaining theatrical gems.
