The 4th of July is a great time to be in Wimberley, Texas!
For2019, the Wimberley VFW Pro Rodeo is featured for three nights, there's swimming at Blue Hole Regional Park and at Jacob's Well Natural Area (reservations required) and a feature movie at the Corral Theatre.
The annual VFW Rodeo on Thursday, July 4th through Saturday, July 6th...the fun is nonstop through the weekend. On Thursday, July 4th, the Wimberley annual Jubilee Parade starts at 10AM. Get there early with your lawn chairs and shade, Ozona Bank Parking area is agreat spot to camp out.

Worried about the heat? There's a happy answer for that. For fun in the water, visit the Blue Hole, open to the public on a 4th of July extended weekend. (Be sure to confirm that the area is open for swimming before planning this activity.)

Annual Pro-Open Wimberley VFW Rodeo, held this year on Friday, Saturday
and Sunday evenings. It's always at the VFW Rodeo Grounds on Jacob's

Jubilee Day on Wednesday July 4th with the parade starting at 10 a.m. This annual Wimberley parade includes trailers, cars, bands, animals, or walking entries to roll down RR 12 in the morning sunlight. Plan to come on out and watch the parade, grab a hat, bring a chair and your friends. Enjoy the parade online with 17 years of parade slideshows here.
A bit later in the day Hometown Patriotic Concerts can be enjoyed at two different times this year, once at 1PM and again at 4PM. These two presentations take place at the First Baptist Church of Wimberley, Thursday July 4th.
To cap off the extended weekend there are three free fireworks displays Thursday, in the area. Kyle is featuring a concert performed by The Starlight Symphony Orchestra
followed by a fireworks display. San Marcos is offering their free
Fireworks display during SummerFest, Thursday evening at Plaza Park. As the VFW Rodeo winds down @ 9:30 they also have a fireworks display each evening of their annual event.
