ABOUT THE WIMBERLEY COMMUNITY CIVIC CLUB
In the spring of 1979, a group of women in the area recognized the need to reach out and meet the newcomers to our rapidly growing community. The Wimberley Community Civic Club was organized.
The purpose of the club is to nurture a strong community spirit, to be ever aware of our community's needs and services, to welcome newcomers and acquaint them with available services and organizations and to invite them to actively participate. We are a club that works to raise funds through our annual Home Tour and Hobby Lobby.
In 2009 we were able disperse $35,500 to 25 community organizations and 10 graduating high school seniors.
Membership is open to all Wimberley area residents. We urge all newcomers to let us know you are here, come to a meeting and then decide if you would like to join our group to help make Wimberley a better place to live.
