An approved chapter of the Texas Society Daughters of the American Revolution since 1992, the Jacob's Well Chapter takes its name from the important natural spring, Jacob's Well, in Wimberley. (Click here to read more about Jacob's Well.) The Jacob's Well Chapter Projects have included awards of an ROTC medal, scholarship money donations, and donations of books, bookmarks, and flags to Wimberley's Village Library and Bowen Middle School in Wimberley. Visiting DAR members, prospective members, and all women interested in the organization are cordially invited to attend meetings. Previous meetings took place in Wimberley or Woodcreek and have included programs like a DAR Museum Slide Show and Commentary, National Defense Luncheon "A Teenager in the Philippines During World War II," and a Presentation of DAR Community Service Award.
