Whether you live in Wimberley year round or visit on special occasions, there is music in these,
our Texas hills.
The live music scene radiates from Austin’s
Sixth Street, into Wimberley, the Texas Hill
Country and beyond.
Ray Wylie Hubbard, jazz pianist Jimmy Neely, Alejandro Escovedo and phenom Sarah Jarosz
are but a few of the musicians from varied
genres that call Wimberley home.
We have the famed Rupert Neve residing here; his expertise can be seen in the professional recording consoles at Blue Rock Artist Ranch and Studio.
Wimberley has a growing number of eateries that offer live music throughout the year, Susanna’s Kitchen offers up a smoke free/alcohol free setting once a month for music lovers and just down the road in Fischer there are open air concerts taking place. In late fall the Rice festival takes place at the Fischer Dance Hall where quite a few movie scenes have been filmed along with untold weddings, Hoedowns and get-togethers.
If you are new to the area or a long time resident we hope you enjoy the music that is available to you and please tell your friends about Visitwimberley.com.
If you are a musician and have a gig taking place in the area, list it on The Visitwimberley Music Calendar.
While you’re at it you might want to add your name to the music guide so folks will have another way find you and discover your music. You can do that here.
If you own or manage a venue that supports these fine artists, list your upcoming shows on The Visitwimberley Music Calendar. Your venue can also get a listing in the business guides, click here for more information.
