I'm hoping it's my imagination, but it appears that TXDOT is slowly eliminating the rock canyon entrance/exit to Dripping Springs. It's the area 1-2 miles east of RR12/290. It looks like the dirt/rock is being excavated and moved to down to road level. I've always thought that little feature as you drive into or out of Dripping on 290 was one of those nice scenic road features. I'm not sure if it's been noticed or matters to anyone, but I've certainly noticed the shrinking hill(s)...

Don't you realize progress when you see it? The water tower pronounces Dripping as the gateway to the Hill Country and that little cut reinforced it. Sadly, I think DS is about to explode and then southward along RM 12.
