Checked out some property in the area you described; rapid river or river rapids road and the guy who lived next to one of the lots told me the area was great if you didn't mind the road usually being full of potholes, being flooded in from time to time and the power going out or any kind of emergency during a flood (no access for pec or emergency vehicles). Not exactly a sellers friend was he but at least truthful. IP: Logged

Not that he was being untruthful but probably didn't mention the serenity and peace of this area, even during the summer months when we try and scare off the tubers . Hokey sounding as it is, when you're lucky enough to live by the water, you are lucky enough and learning to be self sufficient seems like a good idea in any environment. IP: Logged
