Sure sounds like Wimberley is on the suckerville list for these fringe groups and scam artists. Remember the so-called "veterans" collecting money all over town?

Thing is, there are a lot of intelligent nice people here but looks like these nutjobs are getting enough encouragement from some dopes to stick around. It's wrong, but there it is.

Most of the posts here are playing right into the “gentleman’s” plans. He is likely here to recruit and also upset and get a rise out of the locals. It is known far and wide that the local Wimberley persuasion is mostly liberal and that Obama carried the precincts here. By falling into his trap, by reacting, you run the risk of waking the sleeping conservative giant.

Nice try, Umlaut but FUD (fear uncertainty and doubt) should not prevent people from politely saying what they mean in a forum. Now I'm on the side of Tbase - free speech!

Umlaut, the Wimberley area mostly liberal?!? OK, Obama carried a lot of precincts the Dems had not carried in years, but Wimberley liberal, sorry no. County Commissioner, JP, etc all Repub.

And I gotta agree with Zac, I'm all for free speech, but I don't have to listen.

Reddog - Very true; you don't have to listen. Unfortunately, there are many who do listen & sadly believe the distortions perpetuated by fear/hate mongers. They do not challenge outrageous claims & the "beliefs" become epidemic, influencing many who are misinformed.

Where's the Snopes police?
