Sometimes, criminals are due a measure of respect if they're creative & nonviolent. But for 2 guys to drive around in New Braunfels with a dead body in the back of their truck wrapped in plastic is not clever at all. It's plain stupid. The suspects are being held in Mays County jail. Victim unidentified.Might make a great movie !!!

2 Arrested after Body Found in TruckStranger than fiction. This says the victim was from Hays County. Unnerving.

I thought the same thing.....but what was even more disturbing is when I saw the report on the news, the reporter clearly stated that no one had been held or charged at the time of the discovery of the body in the bed of the truck pending a more in depth investigation. Has that changed or was she wrong regarding the facts? I took that to mean that yes, the "person" was in fact dead but they hadn't yet been able to prove foul play. I just shook my head thinking how utterly ridiculous. Dead body wrapped in plastic in the back of a truck with people actually in the truck and driving the truck is foul play and to me that means someone did a bad bad thing.

Huh??? Looks like somebody doesn't know how to refresh a browser. I watched the forums this morning and didn't see anything disappear.Word for the day: Paranoia - A thought process heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs concerning a perceived threat towards oneself.

Drug cartel ? I seriously doubt it as they are usually very experienced criminals & probably wouldn't be so stupid as to drive I-35 with a dead body in the bed of their truck. But, maybe they were sampling some of their wares.

I don't know about 'cartel' in the way it's used in the media, it's still my guess drugs were involved.http://smmercury.com/archives/14190 If they were using their product that fits your description of dumb criminals to a T. (San Marcos does have a gang situation and it's spreading out.) [This message has been edited by rio (edited September 10, 2010).]

I guess I should not be surprised that Wimberley has members of La Eme, we are becoming a clone of Houston

I will be optimistic, could have been much worse; they could have been MI13.
