On Thursday, October 22nd the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, in partnership with the Texas State Soil and Water Conservation Board (TSSWCB) will be hosting an educational workshop for the Texas Watershed Steward program. The workshop will take place at the Wimberley Community Center on 14068 Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley, TX. The Texas Watershed Steward program is a free, one-day educational workshop designed to help watershed residents improve and protect their water resources by getting involved in local watershed protection and management activities. Texas Watershed Stewards learn about watershed systems, water quality regulation and monitoring, methods to improve water quality, and community-driven watershed protection and management. We also offer several kinds of continuing education hours to our participants. Please consider joining us at the October 22nd workshop and passing along the workshop information to anyone else who might be interested in attending.
