According to The Wimberley View and it’s May 29th article titled, “FM 150 may be expanding…expansion may not follow roads current path,” the Hays County Commissioners is planning a new road. The new road is not currently on the county’s 10 year transportation plan located at the following link and which shows NEW roads as dotted blue lines.
The Wimberley View notes the Hays County Commissioners Court first approved a new agreement on May13 called “Early Use & Permission.” This agreement allows consultants to ask for access to landowners private property. The next week, May 20, the Hays County Commissioners court continued planning for the new roadway project.
Will Conley is quoted referring to the project as “ground zero.” And County Judge Bert Cobb is quoted in the article, “We’re not quite sure where it’s going to go,” and “We’re going to be asking those people to allow us to enter their property not for any nefarious reason, but for the stated reason, to try to plan highway.”
