Gallery shows and our annual events will be announced on our home page.
We're very excited about our new gallery, Art League Gallery. It is located in the Wimberley Community Center, RR 12 at River Road, and is open from 8:30 to 4:30 during the week during shows.
On weekends, the gallery is staffed with local artists and is open from 1 to 5 PM.
Here on our news page, we'll be sharing information about these events, meeting presentations, and news of interest about the gallery in much more detail. We hope you'll return here often to see what's happening.
March Meeting
The next monthly meeting of the WVAL is Monday, March 10, 6:30 in the Blanco Room of the Wimberley Community Center.
Please join us as we welcome Ann Templeton, our guest artist.
Ann, an oil/pastel-conceptual impressionist who likes to describe her paintings as "symbolic expressions", and with a personal commitment to excellence, has been painting since 1969. She currently teaches 15+ art seminars each year in as many as 10 states and countries including Hawaii, Italy and Mexico.
She also lectures and teaches for art guilds and college classes, and juries competitive art shows several times a year. Her style and enthusiasm are rapidly winning her awards throughout the country. She is a major force in the field of oil painting and is highly recognized for her teaching expertise and color usage.
