The Wimberley Community Civic Club chose six beautiful homes for the 2014 Hill Country Home Tour, November 7-8, showcasing the broad variety of homes in the Wimberley community.

Be sure to mark your calendars for this event and help the Civic Club raise money to give to the Wimberley community. Remember that while enjoying the tour you will be helping our community. The Home Tour in the fall and Spring Event (formerly Hobby Lobby) in the spring are the two fund-raising events the Civic Club sponsors to raise money for agencies and organizations in the community each year. Typically, the Civic Club gives monetary gifts to 25 community entities and scholarships to 10 graduating high school seniors.

In addition to the six homes, the historic Winters-Wimberley Housewill be open to visitors. A gift shop, homemade baked goods, a free wine tasting, and a delicious lunch by the Leaning Pear will be available. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at a cost of $12.00 per person.

Tickets for the tour are $20.00 and may be purchased beginning October 24 and on both tour days at the Wimberley Visitors' Center at 14090 Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley. Tickets will also be available at each tour home on the days of the tour as well as at the Wimberley-Winters House. For more information call Aurora LeBrun at 512-847-3595 or visit the Civic Club page.

This fund-raising effort benefits many non-profit organizations within Wimberley, as well as numerous graduating high school seniors who receive scholarships.

Expect the unexpected as you tour six unique homes of six unique families, and to enjoy the tour to its fullest extent, and be able to explore the grounds of some of the homes, sensible shoes are recommended.
