The 66th Annual Rodeo was held
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday,
July 1st, 2nd and 3rd, 2011.

Hill country tradition, the Annual Pro-Open VFW Rodeo and PBR Bull Riding has been held for more than 65 years on the first weekend in July at the VFW's rodeo grounds just north of town on Ranch Road 12.

Once the largest outdoor rodeo in the world, the event still ranks near the top. Check out the menu below to see this year's full listing of events.

The VFW Rodeo is sponsored by VFW Post 6441, Wimberley, Texas as a not-for-profit event benefiting the community, veterans and active duty servicemen and women. Producer/stock provider for the 2011 Rodeo was Bo Davis of Gonzales, Texas.

2011 TICKET INFORMATION
(Please note: this information applied to 2011 rodeo tickets. For 2012 ticket sales, check here June, 2012.)

Advance tickets are on sale at the VFW Post June 27, 28 & 29 (Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday) from noon to 6 p.m. Cash, check, major credit cards accepted. On those days call 847-6441.

Limited box seat tickets (PBR night-$35, Rodeo nights-$25) on sale at advance ticket purchase days listed above. General admission prices listed on dates above.

2011 SCHEDULE

Friday, July 1st
Professional Bull Riders Association PBR Touring Pro Division event

Gates open at 5:30; mutton bustin' at 7:00 and bull riding begins at 8 p.m.
Bull riding: 45 bulls and 45 riders
Tickets: Adults - $20, Children $10 ($15/$7 if purchased in advance)

Saturday and Sunday, July 2nd and 3rd
Cowboys Professional Rodeo Assn. (CPRA) sanctioned pro/open event (Ranked "Best CPRA Rodeo of the Year" in 2006 CPRA Hall of Fame)

Gates open at 5:30. 1st Mutton Bustin' at 7:00; Rodeo begins at 8 p.m.
Events include: bull riding, tie down calf roping, bareback bronc riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, women's breakaway roping, and women's barrel racing.
2nd Mutton Bustin' midway in Rodeo
Tickets: Adults - $15, Children $10 ($12/$7 if purchased in advance)

Every night...

2 calf scrambles nightly: one for ages 5-8 and another for ages 9-12
Featuring rodeo clown/bull fighter Leon Coffee
Mutton Bustin' register inside the VFW at 6:00p.m The cost will be $20 per ride, 60 lb. maximum rider weight
