The
4th of July in 2003 brought a rare cool day in the middle of summer.
Happy crowds for the Wimberley Jubilee found many ways to take
advantage of the opportunity with picnics, visiting and enjoying good
music with neighbors and friends.
A morning parade
(click here to see scenes of a
previous parade) and music from some fine musicians helped
make it a day to remember.
Music
included Sarah Jarosz and “Blue-eyed Grass.", the Ash Family
Band, Jim Henderson and Friends, Jill Jones and the Lone Star Chorale
and the Wimberley Community Chorus and Hill Country Community Band.
Later that evening, the VFW Rodeo
provided excitement and fun for everyone, and even managed a beautiful
rainbow sky as the end of a memorable day.
