The 1st place Chili entry automatically qualified to compete at the Wick Fowler / Frank X. Tolbert World Championship Chili Cookoff held this fall in Terlingua.

The Cook-Off featured a Ray Wylie Hubbard concert
in the VFW Hall from 6 to 8 PM that evening.
