The 28th Annual Wimberley Community Civic Club Home Tour - Featuring the Fox Home, Minnick Home, Rios Home, Carter Home and the Umphrey Home.

Sponsored by the Wimberley Community Civic Club, the 2015 Hill Country Homes Tour for the Holidays is The 28th Annual Home Tour will be on Friday & Saturday November 13 & 14, 2015 from 10 to 5. Five unique homes are featured for 2015.

The Wimberley Community Civic Club chose five beautiful homes for the 2015 Hill Country Home Tour, November 13-14, showcasing the broad variety of homes in the Wimberley community.
The homes include an art-filled retreat on River Road, an Italian inspiration in South River, a large entertainer's estate in River Mountain Ranch, a contemporary getaway in Mustang Valley and a family ranch on Vesper Lane.

Be sure to mark your calendars for this event and help the Civic Club raise money to give to the Wimberley community. Remember that while enjoying the tour you will be helping our community.

Founded in 1979, the Wimberley Community Civic Club is one of the oldest charitable organizations in the greater Wimberley area and includes a membership of nearly 200 individuals.The Home Tour in the fall and Spring Event (formerly Hobby Lobby) in the spring are the two major fund-raising events the Civic Club sponsors to raise money for agencies and organizations in the community each year.

The tour will take place from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each of the days, starting at the Wimberley Community Center, 14068 Ranch Road 12.
Tickets for the home tour are $20 and may be purchased at the Wimberley Visitors Center on Ranch Road 12 and at the Wimberley Community Center. The Wimberley Community Center will be "command central" for the home tour during the two-day event, and will offer a bake sale, booths and lunch provided by The Leaning Pear for $12.

This fund-raising effort benefits many non-profit organizations within Wimberley, as well as numerous graduating high school seniors who receive scholarships.

Wimberley's unique community is well-represented in this year's line-up.From smaller, down-sized homes to grand properties, the tour will be a full day of architecture and design inspiration in Wimberley, sensible shoes are recommended.


The Jimmy and Pam Fox Home "Italian Inspiration"

Jimmy and Pam Fox were on a plane flying back from a vacation in Italy when they decided to make their dream of living in Wimberley a reality. From the landscaping to the lighting details to the spacious kitchen, this comfortable home was designed with Italian flair and the tastes and desires of the owners.

The Don and Rebecca Minnick Home An Art-filled Retreat

This unique, art-filled home was originally a second home for Don and Rebecca Minnick. Purchased 10 years ago, the couple used it as a weekend getaway for five years before moving to Wimberley full time. Rather than buying or building a larger home, they remodeled the existing home to open up the family room, reworked the kitchen and bedroom closets and added an outdoor pavilion, designed by Wimberley architect Rick Burleson and built by Schmidt Custom Homes.

The Oscar and Anita Rios Home Contemporary Waterfront Getaway

Busy Austin trauma surgeon Oscar Rios was looking for a place to get away and decompress when he bought his Mustang Valley property Wimberley in 2010.
"I wanted a place to relax, cook for my friends and family and enjoy nature," he said. And he initially spent his time doing just that on the seven-acre property: Camping out and enjoying fishing, kayaking and paddleboarding.
